SSP RETURN POLICY AND WARRANTY

What is your Total Satisfaction Return Policy for SSPDirect Products?

SSPDirect.com marketed products purchased for use in the U.S. and Canada come with a fourteen (14) day total satisfaction return policy.

This return policy covers all products purchased through SSPDirect.com. for our end-user customers. Under this policy, you may return the products purchased directly from SSPDirect.com for a credit or a refund of the purchase price paid, less shipping and handling within fourteen (14) days from the date received.

To return products, e-mail or call our customer care representative at 845-735-1417 to receive a Credit Return Authorization Number (CRAN) within the return policy period. You must obtain a Credit Return Authorization Number in order to return the product.

You must ship the products to SSPDirect within five days of the date that SSPDirect issues the Credit Return Authorization Number. You must also return the products in their original packaging, in as-new condition, along with any documentation, and all other items that were included in the original shipment, prepay shipping charges, and insure the shipment or accept the risk of loss or damage during shipment.

For products purchased for use outside of the U.S. or Canada, please call 845-735-1417 for specific country information.

What if I find a product to be defective in material and/or workmanship?

This limited warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship in our end-user customer's products.

During the first 90 days commencing from the invoice date, we will replace any SSP products returned to us that prove to be defective in materials or workmanship.

What will SSPDirect.com do?

When you contact us, we will issue a Return Material Authorization Number for you to include with your return. You must return the products to us in their original or equivalent packaging, prepay shipping charges, and insure the shipment or accept the risk if the product is lost or damaged in shipment. We will return the replacement products to you. We will pay to ship the replaced products to you if you use an address in the United States (excluding Puerto Rico and U.S. possessions and territories). Otherwise, we will ship the product to you freight collect.

If you do not have Internet access, please call our customer care representative at 1-845-735-1417. We value our relationship with you and want to make sure that you're satisfied with your purchases.

If we are not able to replace the product because it has been discontinued or is not available, we will replace it with a comparable product. This warranty does not apply to failure of the product resulting from misuse, abuse, accident, neglect, mishandling or wear from ordinary use

What is not covered by this limited warranty?

  • External causes such as accident, abuse, or misuse.
  • Servicing not authorized by us.
  • Usage that is not in accordance with product instructions.
  • Failure to follow the product instructions.
  • Products with missing or altered service tags.
  • Products for which we have not received payment.

What if SSPDirect determines that the problem is not covered under this warranty?

If SSPDirect determines that the problem is not covered under this warranty, we will notify you within two weeks of receipt by our customer service office.

Why would I need a back support?

SSPDirect is pleased to offer the Back-Huggar® lumbar support cushion to ensure that proper posture is maintained while seated at the computer.

A back-rest provides firm support in critical areas of the back and legs while also encouraging the user to use correct seating posture for maximum comfort. It also relieves pressure points to enhance circulation. Back-rests can provide added support or customize the chair to help fill the gap in the back's natural lumber curve.

What benefits does the Gel wrist-rest offer?

A gel wrist-rest elevates the hands to relieve stress on wrists and forearms, keeping the wrist posture neutral while helping minimize strain in the wrist, neck and shoulders.

What is the warranty on the Gel products?

Gel products carry a limited lifetime warranty against manufacturer defects. See warranty section below.

How can I clean my gel wrist-rest?

Use a damp cloth and lightly brush the surface of the wrist-rest.

What is the Magnification of my screen?

Why do I need a Magnified, Anti Glare Screen on my monitor?

The Magnification helps you see online text and images more easily. In addition, SSPDirect's Glare Filters are designed to help relieve eye-strain, fatigue, headaches and the stress associated with long hours spent in front of your monitor. It will enhance and sharply define your picture. This allows your eyes, neck and back muscles to release. You no longer have to strain to see the images on the screen.

How exactly do glare filters work?

Computer monitors generate very low frequency (VLF) and extremely low frequency (ELF) electromagnetic radiation, which is composed of electric (E-Field) and magnetic (H-field) fields. While the H-Field radiation can only be blocked by modifications within the monitor itself, computer users can protect themselves from the E-Field radiation simply by using a glare filter.

How do I properly ground my Anti-static/Anti-Radiation Glare Filter?

You must attach the grounding wire clip to bare metal on a grounded object (an object that is plugged into a 3 prong outlet). A metal screw or grid on the back of your computer is ideal.

What is a Radiation/Static protection glare filter?

Anti-glare filters use multiple layer coatings on state of the art optical quality glass. This helps maximize resolution and enhance images on the screen, while reducing glare. A grounding cord is also attached to the frame so that when properly grounded will safely dissipate static build-up and drain away most very low and extremely low frequency electric field radiation.

How do I clean my Glare Filter?

You can use a glass cleaning solution that does not include ammonia.

LARGE PRINT KEYBOARD

I plugged in my keyboard and it is not responding. What could be wrong?

Some general troubleshooting:

  • First check to make sure it is plugged into the correct port. Make sure computer is turned off before attempting.
  • Check to see if any pins are bent on the connector.
  • Reboot the system to see if any lights come on during the reboot process. After plugging the keyboard and turning the computer on, Windows should automatically detect it.
  • Try testing the keyboard on another system to see if it functions.

My keyboard did not come with a driver. How do I configure it?

SSP's keyboards should not require software or configuring for most users. If you are having difficulty, one of our technical representatives will call you back.

What is a USB Port?

USB is an expandable, hot-plug gable Plug & Play serial interface that ensures a standard, low-cost method for adding external peripheral devices. USB supports up to a 12Mbps data transfer rate for mid-speed and low-speed peripherals such as keyboards, pointing devices, and monitors via cable. The USB connector resembles a flat adapter

What is a PS2 Port?

The PS/2 port is a type of port developed by IBM for connecting a mouse or keyboard to a PC. The PS/2 port supports a mini DIN plug containing just 6 pins. Most PCs have a PS/2 port so that the serial port can be used by other peripherals. The PS/2 port is often called the mouse port.

What is a Serial Port?

A serial port is an asynchronous port which transmits one bit of data at a time. This port is commonly found on a vast majority of personal computers. It is used to connect your mice or other peripherals to the computer. It is shaped like the letter 'D' and may have either 9 or 25 pins. They are commonly referred to as either DB9 or DB25.
