SSPDirect.com & SeniorNet Team Up To Support the 50+
Community in Their Online Endeavors
October
16, 2005- Santa Clara, CA / Before you think it’s too hard
or too late to use a computer or the Internet, think again!
SeniorNet.org and
SSPDirect.com have teamed up to help even the most
reluctant seniors use computers to enrich their lives.
Whether you are a savvy computer user, just getting started
or are looking for a new online activity, the SeniorNet/SSPDirect
Strategic Partnership has something for you.
While SeniorNet provides a robust series of learning
programs taught by seniors for seniors, SSPDirect.com offers
mature adults affordable technology solutions that make it
easier and more comfortable to use a computer. SSPDirect’s
offerings are particularly helpful to users challenged with
macular degeneration, cataracts, arthritis or simply those
spending a lot of time on the computer each day. As a recent
report by National Public Radio (NPR) aptly states, "the
wired world will extend our eyes and ears and limbs,
bringing the world of news and shops and ideas to us, even
if our physical movements are constrained”.
Together, SeniorNet’s robust curriculum and SSPDirect’s
products support the 50+ community in their online
endeavors. “With older adults spending more and more time
online everyday, the Strategic Partnership we’ve formed will
help this community have an enjoyable experience,” says Risa
Arin, President of SSPDirect.com.
SeniorNet is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization of
computer-using adults, age 50 and older. SeniorNet's mission
is to provide older adults education for and access to
computer technologies to enhance their lives and enable them
to share their knowledge and wisdom.
